School Health Programme is an important component of community health nursing that aims to promote health awareness, prevent diseases, and encourage healthy lifestyle practices among school children through educational and preventive interventions. As part of this programme, health education activities are organized to enhance students’ understanding of the human body and foster scientific awareness regarding health and disease.
The Department of Community Health Nursing and the NSS Unit of Pushpagiri College of Nursing, through the students of the 8th Semester B.Sc. Nursing, conducted an Anatomy Exhibition-JEEVAS: Structure and Function of Human Organs at Kuttoor Government Higher Secondary School on 23 July 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, after obtaining permission from the school authorities.
The exhibition featured preserved real human organs , enabling students to gain a practical understanding of human anatomy. In addition, a variety of educational charts, anatomical models, and other teaching aids were displayed to explain the structure and functions of different organ systems. The exhibition provided an interactive learning experience, helping students correlate theoretical knowledge with real anatomical specimens while creating awareness about the importance of maintaining the health of various body systems.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Sr. Mayukha SIC, (Associate Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing), Dr. Jeena Kunjachan, (Assistant Professor,Department of Community Health Nursing) and Mrs. Neethu Alice Benjamin, (Tutor,Department of Community Health Nursing) whose encouragement and supervision contributed significantly to the successful organization of the exhibition.
