ALUMNARS 2k24, is an initiative of the Nursing Alumni of Pushpagiri under the able leadership of Prof. Mrs. Vineetha Jacob, Principal, Pushpagiri College of Nursing. It is a bi-monthly care & share webinar series organized by the Pushpagiri Nursing Alumni as a part of the celebrations related to completion of 60 years of training nurses at Pushpagiri.
The ALUMNARS aims to-
1. Gather all alumni who passed out of Pushpagiri through various nursing courses- MPH, ANM,GNM, BSc (N) and MSc(N) over the past       60years for a scientific venture.
2. Provide an opportunity for alumni to share their experience & expertise in various fields with each other and to the younger generation.
3. Maintain a strong bond between the alumni and their alma mater.
The 2nd webinar of the series was scheduled on 20th of March 2024 at 8pm IST. Mrs. Vimala Treasa Thomas [PB BSc(N), Diploma In Counselling, MA Psychology], Psycho-educator, Chief co-ordinator & faculty of Diploma in Counselling courses, Pravasi Guidance Centre, Bahrain & 27th batch GNM alumni of Pushpagiri School of Nursing gladly consented to be the speaker for the same. Ms. Tiji Mathew [2017 batch BSc(N) alumni of PCON] drafted the brochure for the event. Mrs. Alphonsa Lizzy Abraham, Faculty PCON & Scientific committee member of ALUMNARS contacted the alumni to take up various roles for the event. Mrs Ligy Thomas, Faculty PCON &
Scientific committee member of ALUMNARS, prepared the schedule and looked after all arrangements &preparation of the promo video. Mr. Marvin & Mr. Sony, System administrators provided all the needed technical support. The prepared meet link with brochure
was circulated to alumni & faculty through whatsapp groups.Mrs. Asha Jacob, Member, Alumni Association, & Faculty at PCON [2020 batch MSc(N) alumni of PCON] welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Vimala Treasa Thomas spoke on the topic, “Effects of stress
and its management.” The whole event was compered by Mrs. Sneha Chacko, MSc(N) student, PCON [BSc(N) 2014 batch alumni]. Around 75 first semester students and 10 staff/alumni from different parts of the world joined in the event. Following a short Q & A session, between the Speaker and delegates, Mrs. Sajitha Skariah, 13th batch GNM alumni of Pushpagiri School of Nursing proposed the vote of thanks and the event concluded by 9.10pm.
