ALUMNARS 2k25, is an initiative of the Nursing Alumni of Pushpagiri under the able leadership of Prof. Mrs. Vineetha Jacob, Principal, Pushpagiri College of Nursing. It is a tri-monthly care & share webinar series organized by the Pushpagiri Nursing Alumni.
The ALUMNARS aims to-
- Gather all alumni who passed out of Pushpagiri through various nursing courses- MPH, ANM, GNM, BSc(N) and MSc(N) over the past 61years for a scientific venture. Provide an opportunity for alumni to share their experience & expertise in various fields with each other and to the younger generation.
- Maintain a strong bond between the alumni and their alma mater.
- The 6th webinar of the series was scheduled on 15thof March 2025 at 7pm IST. Mr.Jatheesh K Sasidharan Nursing Informatics Specialist (NIS) AIIMS, New Delhi & 2005 batch BSc(N) alumni of Pushpagiri College of Nursing gladly consented to be the speaker for the same. Mrs Ligy Thomas (faculty)drafted the brochure for the event. Sr.Tessin SIC & Mrs Asha mol M B, Alumni executive committee members of PCON & Scientific committee member of ALUMNARS contacted the alumni to take up various roles for the event, prepared the schedule and looked after all arrangements & preparation of the promo video. Mr. Sony, System administrator provided all the needed technical support. The prepared meet link with brochure was circulated to alumni, faculty & students through whatsapp groups. Mrs. Jisha Saru Thomas District Coordinator for RBSK and RKSK , 2005 Batch BSc alumni of PCON welcomed the gathering. Mr.Jatheesh K Sasidharan, gave an elaborate comprehensive talk on the topic, “Transforming nursing in the digital era: the synergy of nursing informatics and HMIS”
A total of 72 participants which included students, staff and alumni, benefitted from the same. Following the talk there was a Q & A session. Ms.Marina Biju, Seventh Semester BSc N ,PCON proposed the vote of thanks. The entire program was compered by Sr. Tessin SIC, Lecturer, PCON & 2008 batch BSc(N) alumni & 2019 batch MSc(N) alumni of PCON. The program was well appreciated by all and it came to an end by 8.30pm.
