As part of World Glaucoma week celebration, third semester BSc Nursing students along with Medical Surgical department teachers participated in Glaucoma awareness Programme conducted by Amitha Eye Care Hospital from March 3rd   to 6th.   The theme for this year is “Uniting for a Glaucoma – Free World ’’emphasizing the importance of global collaboration in combating glaucoma – related vision loss. Awareness classes were conducted to raise awareness among the people about glaucoma and thus reduce the burden of the disease. Total 75 students along with 6 teachers participated in the Programme. Students were shown different equipment used in treatment and diagnostics of Glaucoma. The program was really very fruitful. The students and teachers were given participation certificates.
